Reducing work stress and improving life-work balance

Are you “always on” at work and finding that it’s becoming difficult to cope with work demands? Or just aware that you don’t have enough time for yourself, family and friends?

The most successful people at work are those who deal effectively with work and home stressors. Workplaces today are increasingly demanding places and we need a range of skills to meet the challenges without damaging our performance, health or relationships. Taking action before the situation becomes serious makes sense as stress can build quickly if we don’t take action.

In this 4 week skills course you will learn how to

  • recognise the early warning signs of stress in yourself
  • identify the causes of work stress
  • action plan to manage work stressors
  • use practical techniques improve work-life balance

At the end of the course you will have new skills which, with practise, will enable you to maximise your performance at work and enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

Is this course for me?

If you’re aware that work stress is building or that your personal  life is suffering, this course will teach you practical ways to get back in control and enjoy  a healthy work-life balance. No previous experience of this type of course is necessary, just an open mind and a willingness to take part. You won’t need to share confidential information.

What style of course is it?

There will be a maximum of 14 participants and a mix of activities including self-reflection and exercises that you are invited to do in pairs and groups. The workshop will be very practical and focussed so that you are able to take action immediately. I take great care to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and relaxed: activities are designed with that in mind.
